Salad using oak leaf lettuce

Here is a simple recipe for a delicious salad using oak leaf lettuce:


1 head of oak leaf lettuce, washed and torn into bite-sized pieces
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large bowl, combine the torn oak leaf lettuce, sliced red onion, cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped walnuts.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make a dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste.
