Lolo Rosso Salad

Lolo Rosso is a type of red lettuce with a slightly bitter flavour that is often used in salads. Here’s a simple salad recipe using Lolo Rosso:


1 head of Lolo Rosso lettuce
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Wash and dry the Lolo Rosso lettuce, and then tear it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and sliced almonds.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss everything together until the salad is evenly coated in dressing.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

You can also add other ingredients to the salad, such as sliced cucumber, avocado to make it a more filling meal.
